Open up to God

We can talk to God through our Lord Jesus Christ with complete confidence and honesty.  He knows it all anyway.

Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV)

16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Rules without intimacy

What provokes children, it's rules without having an intimate relationship with them.

Colossians 3:21 (ESV)

21 Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.

We get to give...

We get to give. Not we give to get.  Giving is more than just money.  Generosity plus stewardship equals blessings.  God won't give to the wasteful.  God invented giving to break the hold of selfishness.  We were born selfish.  We were born again generous.

My Choice to Bless

You are invoking a blessing on yourself when you give. The key to being blessed is how much you give.  God does not determine how much we are blessed.  We do.

Thinking about others who have less than you cheers you up. Thinking only about yourself brings discouragement, and is a bondage.

Receiving puts me at the mercy of someone else giving to me and isn’t a universally promised experience—unless we are givers.  Me giving is my problem.

Is your neighbor God?

You make your neighbor God when you buy something when your neighbor does.  Don't let someone spend your money.  Let God tell you how to spend His money.

Robert Morris

How God wired us

God wired us to hope.  God wired us to wait for things, so that when we get things it fills us with joy. Depression is a symptom of losing hope.  God provides supernaturally when we decide to do things His ways.

Budget is not a Bad Word

If you're not living on a budget, you are killing yourself. We plan to fail if we fail to plan. If you don't have a goal, you'll probably reach it. A budget helps you to make financial decisions without the emotions. A budget is like a map. If you're financially lost, you're not using your map.

Is your God Money?

We honor our parents because from them is where we learn about God and money.  You can't serve God and be enslaved to money. If you honor money over God,you are training your children to despise God.

God's 90 My 100

Believe that God can do more in six days than we can do in seven days. Tithing is believing that God can do more with 90% than we can do with 100%.

Don't cross the line

Don't cross the line and pray from your own perspective.

Without God's Consent

Have you ever spent God's money without His consent?

I would never ever vote against you and God.

The devil is deathly scared of you walking in who you are in Christ.
You and God were made to win. If you don't know Jesus, you can. You can go to heaven if you'd like.

Romans 10:13 (NIV)
13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

The devil is a liar, and there is no truth in Him.

Taking Godly risks becomes a thrill because we know that God is near.
When the devil calls you a failure, a loser, a liar, or alone, He's the one that lying! Get that fake I.D. out of your wallet!  When you let someone call you by a fake name, you'll always live up to it.

Failure is no big deal.

If you have that fear, get that fear off of you! If you fail, your Father, God, is there to catch you.  Please do not fear failure! Our Father, God, is committed to catching you.

Preston Morrison, Gateway Church

Am I a failure

You're going to have to fail a lot to get where God wants you to be.  It's like missing a shot in basketball.
Missing a lot of shots means that you're taking a lot of shots.  If you're not missing shots, you're only shooting layups.

Who does God Use?

God does not use perfect people, but imperfect people to fulfill His perfect will.

Mine enemy

The enemy of the future is the present.
